It almost seems as if someone here is afraid of his own echo or maybe his singing voice. He has a morbid fear of germs and contamination, that is for sure. He is also terrified of heights—and tormented by the holy terror of failing. For Red Herring, Diederik Peeters nevertheless summons up all his courage and his somewhat macabre sense of humor to carry the audience off into a world full of fear, illusions, and imagination.
