Resounding Resistance was planned as a performative talk show about the concept of musical resistance at Kunsthaus Graz on 27.9. Due to many difficulties in connection with COVID-19, it has become a moderated compilation of interviews and recorded performances.

As a finissage for Bill Fontana’s projects, both of which—one in the exhibition space and one in the city itself—dealt with the perception of the environment through light friction and irritation, we devote ourselves to different artistic approaches to the notion of musical resistance. Resistance becomes bodily, emotionally, physically, and politically readable. Sound and resistance are intrinsically related, as oscillation impedance is a part of acoustic hearing itself.
