As in the past two years, we would like to take a closer look at and discuss individual artworks with you while trying out different perspectives. Although we can’t offer tours to artworks at various locations in Graz this year, we do invite you to join us for lively conversations at the large shared table via Zoom.
Like all of Dabernig’s previous short films, this new work is a small masterpiece. Its deceptively simple action unfolds along concentric circles on rural backroads. All the Stops thus ambiguously refers at once to a rhythmic plot and to the organ stops that serve as a switching station of sorts to the protagonist.
Bio
Verena Borecky (1990, Oberwart, Austria) is an educator for art and culture. She studied English and American Studies as well as Art History and primarily deals with contemporary art, feminism, and storytelling. She lives in Graz.
Gudrun Jöller (1978, Graz) works as an educator for culture and film and is the head of Diagone—Festival for Austrian Film’s education and outreach program, where she also hosts the kino:CLASS youth screenings. Her focus is on outreach projects with apprentices and pupils and the conception of participative formats. She lives in Graz.
