(How to Become Fiction While Still Alive)

Time Out of Joint was published in 1959, and for many years its author, Philip K. Dick, experienced life imitating art quite closely. In a certain sense, he had already interpreted in his novel all the mysteries to come, having the feeling that “In reality I am living in another time.” In what way is this experience connected with the self-image of the artist?

Followed by a discussion with: Clemens J. Setz, Tomer Gardi, and Cordula Simon
Moderation: Klaus Kastberger
